Raising Up The Ark

Exodus 25: 8 And let them make Me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

God gave Moses precise instructions and patterns to build the Ark of the Covenant which would carry God's very presence. This was God's whole purpose. God was creating a place to dwell among His people. All the patterns God uses in the Bible are there to show us that God was creating a habitation for Himself to dwell in. Jesus, Himself, did all things so the Father could find a place in our life to dwell or live with us. Remember, Jesus took on flesh. Jesus existed with God before He ever took on flesh. Ephesians one, states we too were with God before the world was created. We were with God before we took on any flesh or sinned in any way. God's purpose has always been to make a habitation for Himself to dwell in. We were on His mind, and in His thoughts. It was His purpose to have a people in the earth to express everything that was in His heart even before there was an earth.

Ephesians 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ. We were quickened (made alive) together even in the death of our sins by Christ. We have been raised up, brought together and seated together with Him. These are all patterns. We must realize that everything said of Jesus is true about us too. Until we see God's goodness we will never see His Glory. People were around Jesus all the time as He walked on this earth but couldn't see His Glory so they could not perceive Him. Jesus is good, righteous, holy and so are we. We have become one with Him. Whatever Jesus is, we are now in this earth. (I John 4:17)

John 14:2 says Jesus told His disciples He was going to prepare a place for us in the Father's house where there were many mansions or dwelling places. The only place Jesus prepared for us was the cross. Remember the verse in Luke 9:23 that says if anyone wanted to follow Jesus they must deny themselves, take up their cross and follow Him. Jesus stretched us out on that cross at Calvary and crucified us. The old Adam was removed and now the old Adam is not who any one of us are anymore. This is glory. Each of us must not only say but walk in, ' I am no longer Adam, I am Christ, a new creation, a new man never seen in this form before.'

The Ark of the Covenant in Exodus, that carried the presence of the Lord was made out of acacia wood. One of the characteristics of acacia wood is it's incorruptibility. This wood was then overlaid completely with pure gold. Gold represents the nature of God. This too tells us that when we were raised up together with Jesus and God, the Father, swallowed us up together, we put on incorruption then. No one could see the wood anymore by just looking at the ark. The wood was not to be seen anymore because it was swallowed up in the very nature of God. Jesus humanity was just as much part of God's plan as His divinity. Jesus raised each one of us up with Him and covered each one of us with Himself. We are now not to be seen anymore according to the flesh. Whatever Jesus did He raised us up in it too. Jesus sin's did not take Him to the cross, ours did. God took all His wrath out on each one of us while Jesus was hanging on that cross. There will he no more wrath for the Godly. 1 Thessalonians 5:9 says Jesus has not appointed us to wrath but to obtain salvation by Christ Jesus.

In the Old Covenant people were expected to keep laws, rules and regulations. This is a pattern to us that says we can't do these things in our own flesh. We can't do anything by 'works' that can obtain us salvation. This covenant kept God's people until a time when Jesus, a Lamb without spot, blemish or sin could become the sacrifice for us and as us.

Sin could not hold Jesus and it cannot hold you. Our hearts cannot condemn us any longer but sometimes we let our minds condemn us when we try to react to the old memories of the old Adam. We can operate in the mind of Christ now. There is now no longer any condemnation for any one of us who are in Christ Jesus. We have obtained grace. Grace will always teach truth. The grace of God gets us all out of bed each morning even when we are not in the 'mood'. We cannot do just what we want to anymore because God's grace will lead us to the Truth. Now, everyone knows that Truth makes you free. Walking in and being truth reveals and gives God's Life.

Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Corrupt communication has told us things like we will never be a part of what God is doing or our purpose is to just live, die and go to heaven. We have by traditions of men tried to build God a place somewhere else to dwell or leave to go to God when all the time, God Himself was showing us a pattern of how He would build for Himself a habitation with man here. That habitation is Jesus Christ. Anytime we speak any thing else but what God has said about His people we are speaking corrupt communication. We the people of God, the body of Christ, the Church individually and corporately are the very expression of God's thoughts in this earth. We now understand that the Ark was covered completely by gold or God's nature. No more wood was to be seen any longer. Do we realize when we speak corrupt communication out of our mouths we are destroying God's habitation?

Philemon 1:6 states, That the communication of my faith may become more effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in Christ Jesus. The communication of our faith are the words we speak. These words are to be more effectual or accomplish more by speaking good things which are in Jesus. Anything spoken outside these verses is 'corrupt. This too is a pattern for the people of God to recognize who they really are and focus on God's ways, not our 'flesh' or what we think. We are to speak words that edify and build and bring us all into the unity of the faith. We are the temple of God, the ark of His covenant. There is no more recognition of flesh but only the true nature of God.
